Our Classic Doctoral Gown is made of premium plain woven polyester and black velvet on the front and each sleeve. With the fluted back and shoulders section, the classic gown is a decent fit for all doctoral hoods. 6 sizes are available that suits different heights. The package also includes the velvet tam. There are four, six and eight sides tam in black and dark blue with the gold bullion tassel. The tam is adjustable as there is a velcro enclosure in the back. The black package is suitable for most graduates and faculties.

Quality Material for PriceThis doctoral robe is made of a very nice and heavy material. It looks like a good quality cloth, and not a cheap polyester. The sleeves even have a lining in them. I will be wearing it as a faculty member and I am relieved that I didn’t have to pay an enormous amount. The only small problem is that the shoulder part of the robe seems a little wide. Mine is for 5’4” height and an average frame. -
